  1. I’ve signed the petition (because I think your books are awesome and are by far one of most enjoyable authors I’ve read, so you deserve the recognition). Here was my reply on the subject in the Goodreads discussion group:

“I’m going to be a little serious for a while (yes, yes, it happens!),

Although a movie/tv adaptation of the Ferro Family books would be an amazing achievement for one of the bestest, most awesomest authors ever! I do have a couple reservations about the idea (but I will sign the petition anyway because, as one of the bestest most awesomest authors ever, she deserves to have her talent recognized and praised and splattered all over the place for all to see).

First off, not all book-based movies/tv shows are good. Some are amazing (Sex in the City, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Hunger Games), some are so-so (Twilight, although it did amazing at the box office, the movies didn’t come close to the books, Eragon) and some are down-right disasters (True Blood, which completely destroyed Charlaine Harris’ work as of season 4).

I ADORE HM Ward’s sense of humour & I’m concerned that we would lose her unique quirkiness if she isn’t directly involved in the script (which authors very rarely are).

Lastly, and this my selfish little self writting, she is so accessible to her fans & if she were catapulted to mega stardom (which she TOTALLY DESERVES, BTW!), she would no longer be able to offer her fans the little luxuries that we’ve gotten used to (asking our opinion on book covers and story plots, personnaly answering fan mail and FB comments & tweets, reading our suggestions and acting on them in a matter days… can anyone say “I Brake for Turkeys” bumper sticker). This happened with Stephenie Meyer (last time I checked her blog, she wasn’t even the one blogging anymore, it was her brother). We’ve been spoiled!!!

So there! See! I can be serious once in a while (but not too long!!!) “

    • lol. you’re so sweet! dude, i’m the #1 bestselling new adult author in the whole wide world right now. i had another author write me a note and he nearly fell over when i wrote him back. apparently, he’s still waiting for Steven King to reply to a letter he sent when he was 9. i try to keep with everything and everyone, and will continue to do so because I THINK IT’S AWESOME! :) besides, i’d totally miss out on meeting rocking fans like you and so many other awesome ppl i would have never met. as for it being awesome, are you doubting my control freakiness? like i’d do it if it sucked. please. right now i cant even fathom who could pull off sean ferro, but it doesn’t mean the actor isn’t out there. i bet he’s brooding in a bar right now, staring at another rejection. he’ll be perfect by the time the cast calls come out! :)

high fives, fist bumps, and all that. :)
